Event T&C’s and Rules & Guidelines

By registering and/or participating with MTAR, you shall be deemed to accept our Event T&C’s and that you also agree to follow our rules and guidelines.

Individual Run Number

Upon registering for MTAR events you will be provided with a number, courtesy of Up & Running Darlington to which we have attached a barcode.  For accurate run positioning and visibility this must be attached to the front of the body.  Please collect this number at your first event and keep it to reuse at future events.

Event Cancellation

Should we need to cancel the event we will communicate via our social media as soon as it is confirmed and update the website should time allow. Generally we would only cancel for high winds in line with National Trust Policy or occasionally icy conditions. National Trust will make the call if the grounds are deemed unsafe for the public.

Correct Information

It is your responsibility to keep the information that we hold up to date. If you need anything amending eg new emergency contact please email info@morethanarun.co.uk or use the contact form on our website .

Under 18’s

We welcome runners age 14 onwards. If you are under the age of 18 there is a mandatory field to be completed on the registration form. Please ask your responsible adult to authorise by providing their full name.

Timing and Results

Your time and position will be recorded and results processed after the event. You should expect to see them posted on our social media by the following Thursday evening at the latest. If you wish to be excluded from the results please make the Event Director aware on the day. Your position will show but the information fields will be left blank.

Conduct

You must be mindful of your actions and the impact it can have on others, remembering that there can be families, children and vulnerable adults attending our events. Please remember that the wider estate and multi use trail are open to the public whilst our runs are taking place. The grounds within the pay barrier can also be open for visitors. Where we deem behaviour to not be appropriate for an event of this nature, we reserve the right to take all action necessary to safeguard those in attendance.

Event Photography

We make reasonable efforts to respect privacy preferences, but cannot guarantee you won't appear in crowd/background shots. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions you are agreeing to be included in the event photos which will be posted on our social media.  They may also be used on our website for marketing purposes. If you wish to be excluded from photographs please make the Event Director aware on the day.

Fit to Run

MTAR welcomes people of all abilities.  However, by agreeing to these rules, you accept that you do so entirely at your own risk and that it is your responsibility to ensure that you, or those you are responsible for, are fit and able to take part in MTAR events.  Please ensure, where appropriate, that you take medical advice before participating in any MTAR events. MTAR accept no liability for any loss, damages, or expenses of any kind, including, without limitation, loss of or damage to property, or claims by third parties howsoever arising in connection with your participation.
