Guidance for Dogs

Running Sessions

Runners should not be accompanied by a dog when taking part in runs. Also, Canicross unfortunately isn’t recognised by UK Athletics and therefore, the UKA public liability policy which covers all qualified run leaders and coaches does not apply to Canicross activities.

Walking Sessions

We welcome well behaved dogs on all of our walks as long as they remain on a lead. We do ask if you could let us know beforehand just so that we can make the rest of the group aware.

Events (Ormesby10 and Summer & Winter Night Series)

We (MTAR) allow dogs as long as they are well behaved and on a short lead. We just use a common sense approach and are happy for people to bring a dog but they must take full responsibility for it. Like parkrun -  ‘Keep your dog on a lead by your side & within arms reach throughout the event. Only 1 dog per owner.

Ormesby Hall is a two pawprint rated place.  Dogs are welcome throughout the gardens, woodland walks and parkland. There is also a dog friendly room within the Pennyman tea room.
